The all new Southport Pier Tram is powered by an EVS system - The bespoke design of the drive system enables the tram to be driven from both ends and uses 4 drive motors and 2 drive controllers. The battery has been supplied to provide power for 14 hours per day, 7 days a week and is charged by means of a 3 phase battery charger situated on the end of the pier..... more to follow.....
